In mid-March 2020, our rifle house was closed due to the corona pandemic and all club activities stopped. The national championships and local competitions have also been canceled. Until then, I was doing shooting training for 2-4 days a week, mainly as a junior trainer, but also to practice shooting with an air pistol myself.
At home, the idea of a long-distance competition was born. Training and shooting should take place at home, whether on a paper target, with a laser system or other optical training systems. The aim was not to lose the feeling of competition and to stay in contact - or come - with like-minded marksmen.
Unfortunately, we were unable to implement this idea at the association level and so it took a few weeks before I had made the decision to implement the idea myself.
As a new or additional offer, I am addressing air pistol shooters to participate in monthly long-distance competitions together.
Registration is free and there is no commercial idea behind the idea. I am also not the guardian of law and order, but appeal to the participants for a fair, honest and athletic implementation. The rules of the German Shooting Association serve as a basis and for orientation, I assume knowledge of and compliance with national regulations.
