Team league competition

In preparation for the new league season or as a training task, air pistol teams have the opportunity to train through remote  competitions in a close-to-competition situation. National and international teams are admitted.

Three sport shooters per team are counted, but additional (substitute) shooters per team can also be registered.

A competition program includes 40 scoring shots. If a club has more interested sports shooters, it must be determined within the club which results will be used for team registration.

A club can also register several teams, but the shooters may not be swapped between the teams. The shooters remain in the team in which they were first registered.

The air pistol team remote competition “Air Pistol League” is shot in three parts.

  • In the first part there will be a qualification shooting with two competitions. The overall result is used to divide the team groups for the second part, the team competitions. In the team competitions, teams that are as equal as possible should compete against each other, so that the highest possible tension is created even in the remote competition. If more teams are registered than are technically possible in the league system, the teams with the lowest result will be eliminated after the qualification phase and can do not take part in the following team competitions.

  • In the second part, the team competitions, the teams in the respective groups compete directly against each other in a remote duel. The overall result of the three team shooters is counted. The winning team of the direct duel receives two team points; in the event of a draw, each team receives one point. At the end of the team competitions, the group winner is determined.
  • For the group winners, a quarter, semi and final shootout follows in the knockout system (depending on the size of the league, also with the second or best third place teams).
